Among the thousand-yuan phones, the Y series of vivo phones have been loved by many users for their unique aesthetic design and practical system functions. Recently, vivo released a new Y series product – vivo Y37 Pro. I also played with this product for a while after getting it. Let’s take a look at the actual performance of this new product.
The “Apricot Sea” color scheme is coming, elegant and warm
For vivo mobile phones, whether it is the expensive high-end flagship or the affordable entry-level one with a price of around 1,000 yuan, good-looking appearance design is the consistent soul. The same is true for the vivo Y37 Pro. The overall shape of the phone is very simple and elegant, and the back still has the familiar brand logo and gimbal-style lens module.
In terms of color matching, the color I got this time is called “Apricot Sea”, which is close to flesh pink in the naked eye. With the back panel material treated by a special process, it can present a pearlescent texture of “a sky full of stars” under the irradiation of light, and as the angle of light changes, the back panel texture will also change accordingly, which is elegant and warm.
It is worth mentioning that although the back panel material feels glossy, it is not easy to leave fingerprints. After holding it for a long time with sweaty hands like the author, fingerprints can only be seen under specific light angles. This design almost eliminates the tedious operations that users need to take care of regularly, making daily use easier and more casual.
The vivo Y37 Pro adopts a right-angle middle frame design on the side of the phone, and the surface is made into a metal-like texture, which is not easy to be stained by fingerprints. At the same time, the champagne gold gloss and the “apricot sea” color of the back panel also echo each other and complement each other.
On the front of the phone, the vivo Y37 Pro uses a 6.68-inch LCD screen with a peak brightness of 950nit, supporting a maximum screen refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. And due to the characteristics of LCD, this screen has also passed the TUV Rheinland low blue light certification, which can reduce eye discomfort caused by playing with the phone before going to bed at night.
Sufficient performance, practical performance
In terms of performance, the vivo Y37 Pro is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, which uses a 4nm process. The CPU is composed of two 2.2GHz A78 + six 1.95GHz A55, and the peak frequency is 10% higher than the previous generation; the GPU is Adreno 613. In terms of memory, the one I have is the 8GB+256GB version.
After the actual test of AnTuTu V10 version, vivo Y37 Pro finally got a score of over 430,000, with a CPU score of 155,504 points, a GPU score of 49,811 points, a MEM score of 121,921 points, and a UX score of 107,903 points.
Although performance is not its strong point for a thousand-yuan phone, under the label of “practical”, gaming performance is still an important aspect that cannot be ignored. To this end, the author tested the actual performance of vivo Y37 Pro running “Honor of Kings”. Of course, since the performance ceiling is here, the objective test data is definitely not as good as those “performance monsters”. So based on this reality, the author only explains the game test of vivo Y37 Pro from a subjective perspective, for reference only.
After setting the game according to the recommended settings, the notebook played several 5V5 qualifying matches. During the game, whether it was a small-scale team battle or the final highland decisive battle, there was basically no perceptible frame drop or lag. And thanks to the low power consumption advantage of Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, after several games, the phone did not get hot, and only a slight warmth could be detected by careful feeling.
6000mAh large battery, charging once every two days is so easy
For a thousand-yuan phone, most people want it to be durable, especially in terms of battery life. Due to technical issues, large batteries and fast charging cannot be achieved at the same time. The vivo Y37 Pro has chosen the solution of giving priority to large batteries – it has a built-in ultra-large capacity battery of up to 6000mAh and 44W wired fast charging. According to the author’s understanding, among the models currently on sale in the market, there are only a handful of products that use batteries of 6000mAh or above.
If the 6000mAh large battery guarantees the lower limit of the battery life of the vivo Y37 Pro, then the system optimization and battery strategy determine the upper limit of the phone’s battery life. Therefore, the author also tested the actual battery life of the vivo Y37 Pro, playing King of Glory for 30 minutes, watching a movie for an hour and a half, and browsing Weibo and Douyin for 30 minutes each. The test environment was in an indoor environment of 25℃, using a WIFI network, and other settings were in the default state.
Finally, in the three-hour test, the battery of vivo Y37 Pro dropped from 100% to 88%, of which playing King of Glory consumed 2%, watching movies consumed 5%, browsing Weibo consumed 2%, and browsing Tik Tok consumed 3%. Therefore, for ordinary users, vivo Y37 Pro can be charged once every two days or even three days. Even for heavy mobile phone “patients”, charging once a day is enough.
In addition, the author also tested the charging speed of vivo Y37 Pro. After actual measurement, it took 30 minutes to charge 39% of the power, 60 minutes to charge 76%, and it took 84 minutes to fully charge.

In general, as a new product targeting the thousand-yuan market, although the performance of the vivo Y37 Pro is mediocre, its outstanding appearance design and ultra-large capacity battery design give it strong market competitiveness, especially in a body that is less than 8mm thick, it is very rare to fit such a large battery.
If you are not pursuing ultimate performance, but just want a mobile phone that can meet daily use and have long-lasting performance, or if you want to spend very little money to buy a backup phone just in case, then this new vivo Y37 Pro is believed to be your best choice.
